By Weswa Ronnie
John Baptist Nambesha the Member of Parliament representing Majiya County in Bududa district has refuted claims of getting 20 million shillings.

Reports last week that made rounds on social media and blogs showed that the members of parliament of Uganda had agreed on each legislator getting  20 million shillings totaling to 10 billion shillings to use in sensitizing the mass from their respective constituencies about preventive measures of covid19 pandemic.

In an exclusive interview with Elgon Fm radio on phone today, Nambesha denied receiving any money so far. He who whoever said that in case that money is deposited on his account mysteriously, he will ask his people from Manjiya to tell him the appropriate work the money can do for them in the constituency

However, he condemned the government for not supporting the health sector through the increment of salaries of health workers, equipping health facilities or buying food for Ugandans who are currently, in the coronavirus lockdown rather than giving Members of Parliament.
