The President of Rwandan Paul Kagame quoted : "Why should someone print paper and hand them over to us as money and let us payback, not with a paper which we also have a right to print? Instead we are required to pay these paper loans in values, resources and efforts! I have come to the realization that this is an act of modern slavery and colonization The fact that African Countries decades after Independence still go after their former colonial masters to be printed paper money still baffles me. Africa needs monetary sovereignty and to achieve this we must build capacity to print our own currency. There is no reason why the West should continue printing money for Africa after all there is no European country which prints its money in any African country so why should we be their economic slaves? The Igara County West member of parliament  Raphael Magyezi has called upon the NRM members of parliament not to reject the 10 Million shillings offer passed recent to help them fight Covid-19,He had this to say during an interview with Tooro Television. "I encourage all NRM MPs not to reject this money, we need to help people with this money. If Opposition MPs don't want to take the money, let them leave it. Actually they should give it to us cause we have a lot of people who call us begging for food.  Opposition MPs think they are too smart but I just laugh at them some times. Seven Laboratories Cleared To Start Testing For COVID-19 in Uganda

Until today, the country was only using the Entebbe based Uganda Virus Research Institute-UVRI to conduct COVID-19 tests. The new centres include Makerere University's department of microbiology and immunology, National Health Laboratory Services, the Infectious Disease Research Collaboration in Tororo district, the Uganda Virus Research Institute Plague Laboratory in Arua district, Gulu University, Rakai Health Sciences Laboratory and the Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital laboratory. According to the health ministry, the locations were chosen based on the dynamics of infection spread of the disease and the availability of testing reagents. Health Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng announced this during the third national COVID-19 briefing held today in Kampala. She said that currently, the Uganda Virus Research Institute is running between 2000-3000 tests every day. However, with the addition of new laboratories, the county could run up to 10,000 tests.
