Nandala;Mps Who Will Eat the covid-19 Money Need a Godly Punishment.

The member of parliament for Budadiri west Nathan Nandala Mafabi has asked the almighty God to strike all Ugandan members of parliament who will eat on the COVID-19 money with the disease and they die. Nandala said this today during an exclusive interview with Elgon FM radio.

Nandala said that the circumstances under which the budget was passed to add up the members of parliament to the COVID-19 money were not proper.

He revealed that the budget that was brought for passing in parliament was meant to cater for the health ministry to beef up the fight against the new disease Covid-19 that is caused by the noble coronavirus
Nandala said  it would have been appropriate to have allocated all the money to the ministry of health to help it fight the Pandemic
He also said that the government should also use this time to improve the health systems in the country since the befallen pandemic has revealed the rot in the health sector.

He also called upon government to get all resources that it was going to spend on treating Ministers and Members of parliament and trips abroad and invest it in the health sector since the covid-19 disease out break in the world has shown that all countries need to have better health systems.

However the budadiri west member of parliament has decided to send all the money that was sent to his account by the prliamentary commission today to Buwalasi health center III,he also said he had to top it up with ten(10) more millions totaling to thirty (30)millions to help the health center purchase an Ambiulence that will help in transporting the sick, he took to his facebook page to say the following.
''I have been monitoring my account, as soon as I received the 20m Covid19 money parcelled by parliament, I added on 10m and forwarded to Buwalasi Health Center as promised. 
Let's keep the social distance, washing hands and share the little we have with neighbours. We shall defeat this Covid19 disease.''

MBALE:RDC Vows To Arrest Journalists Who Misrepresent Facts On The Works Of The COVID-19 Taskforce.

By: Egonda Emmanuel Anelka Mbale Resident District Commissioner Suleiman Baraza Ogajo has threatened to arrest journalists who misrepresent facts regarding the work done by the District COVID-19 Task Force. Ogajo sounded the warning today while receiving more than seven tones of maize flour from Mbale District Woman Member of Parliament Connie Nakayenze Galiwango. Nakayenze also handed over sugar and salt. According to Ogajo, the Mbale District Task Force has done a commendable job and journalists must report the facts. Connie Nakayenze Galiwango the Mbale District Woman MP said that she has used the 20 million shillings given to every legislator to purchase food and other essential items. Nakayenze said she could not return the money yet several people in Mbale need food. Nakayenze also urged the District Task Forces countrywide not to politicize their work. She said that the country is battling the COVID-19 pandemic which is a matter of life and death and so politicking can wait.

Seven Laboratories Cleared To Start Testing For COVID-19 in Uganda

Until today, the country was only using the Entebbe based Uganda Virus Research Institute-UVRI to conduct COVID-19 tests. The new centres include Makerere University's department of microbiology and immunology, National Health Laboratory Services, the Infectious Disease Research Collaboration in Tororo district, the Uganda Virus Research Institute Plague Laboratory in Arua district, Gulu University, Rakai Health Sciences Laboratory and the Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital laboratory. According to the health ministry, the locations were chosen based on the dynamics of infection spread of the disease and the availability of testing reagents. Health Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng announced this during the third national COVID-19 briefing held today in Kampala.
