Stay Away From Truck Drivers And Trading Centers To Avoid Contact With Corona Virus-Dr Ruth Aceng


Jane Ruth Aceng has today evening warned Ugandans against associating with truck drivers that they stand a risk of being infected with the corona various.she said this today evening while updating the nation about the status of the disease in the country

Aceng also called upon Ugandans staying on the highways to avoid interactions with the drivers and staying away from trading center saying they are becoming high-risk areas in the country for the disease

The Minister of Health in Uganda has also  today confirmed that the  COVID-19 patients 
 Patients in the country remain to fifty-five (55), she said the person who was found positive of COVID 19 was a truck driver from Tanzania and the number remains officially 55 since the rest tested negative,

Most of the shops forcefully closed are in the central business area. Rogers Taitika the Elgon region Police spokesman says that as security they observed that many shops not dealing in food items had opened. Taitika says they swung into action and closed them and five people who refused to comply where arrested. He has urged the public to adhere to government directives to avoid inconveniences. Taitika has asked proprietors of restaurants to remove all seats. He says the guidelines do not allow people to converge and eat in restaurants.

New Ministry Of Education Teaching System Locks Out Bunambutye Camp Learners.

The decision by the government to deliver lessons using broadcast media and online platforms has shut out learners in the Bunambutye resettlement camp in Bulambuli district. There are only three television sets in the resettlement camp, which is home to over 200 families. The television sets that were acquired through hire purchase are powered by solar. The families have to pay daily fees before they can use the sets. There are over 300 students who attend studies at Masaba Secondary School in Sironko and over 1500 pupils of Bunambutye Primary School, which is found in the camp. Emma Kooko, a senior six student at Masaba Secondary School offering BCM, says the idea of studying at home is unrealistic for children from disadvantaged homes. He is among the lucky children in the camp whose family has a TV set. Kooko however, says what is taught on TV is insufficient to equip them with the necessary knowledge. The President of Rwandan Paul Kagame quoted : "Why should someone print paper and hand them over to us as money and let us payback, not with a paper which we also have a right to print? Instead we are required to pay these paper loans in values, resources and efforts! I have come to the realization that this is an act of modern slavery and colonization The fact that African Countries decades after Independence still go after their former colonial masters to be printed paper money still baffles me. Africa needs monetary sovereignty and to achieve this we must build capacity to print our own currency. There is no reason why the West should continue printing money for Africa after all there is no European country which prints its money in any African country so why should we be their economic slaves?
